ABOUT Dr. Ruta Vyas

Ruta has been in the learning and development space since her early childhood, always keen to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, be it the gardener’s children getting through school, young people preparing for entrance tests, or graduates applying for jobs.

Ruta graduated from the R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics and then went to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, (IIMB) specializing in marketing and finance.

Today, Ruta runs Amadeus Consulting with a team of 3 and works closely with her clients to design, develop and deliver high quality learning solutions and consulting in the space of talent management and leadership development.

Soon after graduating from IIMB. Ruta worked with NGOs such as VOICE in India and Ramakrishna Mission in Singapore to fulfil her passion for development work and eventually moved into the space of corporate L&D to assist organization in their quest for people excellence.

Prior to founding Amadeus Consulting, Ruta held the position of General Manager for the BFSI vertical at NIS Sparta Ltd. ( a division of NIIT Ltd). She headed a national team and led projects for several large corporates such as ABN AMRO Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of Baroda, GE Finance, BPCL, Pepsi Foods among many others.

Some of the areas that Ruta has worked extensively in are culture enablement, leadership development, change management, building talent frameworks, developing personal impact and influence.
Ruta has also been a Partner Consultant with Korn Ferry, helping in delivery of training and coaching for their global clients.

Ruta’s work took her to countries outside like China, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Lebanon to gain rich cross-country experience working with people from across the world.

In 2014, Ruta completed her PhD in the area of Empowering Leadership from NMIMS, Mumbai. In 2016, she went on to get a Professional Coach Certificate (PCC) from the ICF, USA and today has more than 2500 hours of executive coaching hours to her credit.

She is certified in psychometrics such as DISC and MBTI, tools which she continues to leverage in her work today.

Ruta also continues to engage with her love for social development by offering pro bono coaching and training workshops for 3 NGOs and is an empanelled GAP (Global Action against Poverty) coach.

Vikasana, a school set up by Ruta for children of construction workers still continues to operate after 20 years, and today supports children of the nearby communities.

In her spare time, Ruta enjoys painting with acrylics, writing books for young children and composing songs for her books.
